If you're having trouble with Commutre, the steps below resolve most issues. If not, email us and we'll get back to you.

Sending a diagnostic report

The fastest way to get help is to send a diagnostic report directly from the app. It includes timing and mode-inference events from your trip — no GPS coordinates are included.

  1. Open the History tab and tap the trip that had the problem.
  2. Tap the speech-bubble icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Add a short note describing what went wrong.
  4. Tap Generate Report, then Send to Commutre Support.

Common issues

Trip didn't stop automatically

Automatic stop requires Always On location access so the geofence can fire while the app is in the background. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Commutre and select Always.

Trip mode was detected incorrectly

You can correct any leg after the fact. Open the trip in History, tap the leg, and select the correct mode at the bottom of the sheet.

Trip didn't start automatically

Auto-start requires a commute schedule configured in Settings → Commute Schedule, the Auto-start toggle enabled, and Always On location access (see above).

Analysis shows no data

The Analysis tab only includes completed trips. If you stopped a trip manually make sure you tapped Stop — trips left open without an end time are excluded.
